Catching up

Hi!  We've had a busy last week and weekend here in the Meehan house. The kids had their last week of school before vacation.  Everyone is home and waking up late Yay!  We also had Grammy and Grandpa visit.  We all had a great time!    Here are some pictures of our adventures....

Weekend Fun

Had some fun this weekend and some sickness (yuck!).  Saturday Maddie shined at her basketball game, scoring the winning basketball for the Shooting Stars first win!  Oh Yeah!

We also got some time with the big guy in red at the DSG Holiday party.  Everyone but Joey went near him.  They all got gifts.
Our fun did not last.  Joey got sick on the way home from the party.  He was sick all day Saturday until 11pm. He finally took some ice chips and they stayed down.   We were ready to head to Chidren's Mercy if that did not happen.

Ben's Holiday Program

Ben has therapies through the Infant Development Center. Last night they had their holiday performance.  Ben's class is the youngest in the center right now.

Hockey and the Holiday Princess

Maddison and Sean went to a Missouri Mavericks game Friday night.  It was Maddie's first game and she got the tickets for her birthday.  They were in the second row, next to the penalty box.  She was so excited telling the rest of us all about it when they got home!

Saturday morning Olivia and Debbie went to have breakfast with the Holiday Princess.  There are limited tickets to this that sold out in 4 hours!  Olivia ws so excited!  She kept asking Friday night, "How many more minutes until we go?"  Olivia got dressed in her fancy dress and away we went!  Olivia checked in and received her wand.  After finding some seats, she got to play in the play area and then got a lesson on manners.  After our buffet breakfast, we enjoyed a fabulous puppet show.  Once the puppet show was over, Olivia got her present from the Princess, a scarf and blanket, pink of course.  We then headed over to Winter Wonderland and waited on line to get our fabulous picture with the Holiday Princess, where Olivia also got to pick out a crown.  Fabulous day!  The excitment in Olivia's face was priceless.

The court has said it offical, Benjamin is a Meehan!  He has already captured all of our hearts!

Saturday

Busy Saturday for us.  Maddison had a soccer game and a basketball game.  Then the girls and went to Harvesters Food bank to help sort food.  Maddie got to help re package cereal and Olivia helped bag oranges and potatoes. They were amazed at the food in there!  They did a great job!

I still cannot believe that Maddison is 8 years old!  She is getting to be such a big girl!  Today she opened some presents in the morning before school then the rest after school.  Her name was announced by Johnny on the announcements at school and her name was on a giant birthday cake as well.  Maddie chose to share some fruit with her class. Maddie chose to go to Pizza Street for the birthday dinner.  Its pizza buffet and everyone enjoyed it!  Taking a break watching a movie then on to Cookie Cake!  Maddie, we love you and we are so pround of you! 

Cereal....

Today we started cereal with Ben. He did a great job!  I think he is going to like it.  Ben was 16 pounds at his 6 month checkup and his head has improved by 3mm in just two weeks with the helmet.  He really does not mind it and looks stinking cute in the helmet! He wanted to help with the spoon,

 We spent the day bowling. Ben slept through it.  Then we settled in for the night.

Trip

Sorry for the delay in posting.  Last week we took a trip to Churchill Downs in Kentucky.  We got to spend time with Grandma and Pop, Uncle Pat and Uncle Mike.  The guys went to the Breeder's Cup races.  We kept ourselves busy as well.
